Whether you are buying your very first house, purchasing an investment property, or moving into your forever home, I’ve got the expertise to guide you through the process. I first got into the mortgage business in 1997, while still in college at Oakland University in Rochester Hills, MI. I’d just finished serving four years in the U.S. Navy and was looking for my next career path. Helping people realize the American dream of homeownership seemed like a natural fit! Given my own life experiences, I love to help fellow veterans utilize one of the greatest benefits available to us: the VA home loan. I’ve helped hundreds of veterans purchase homes with less money than it would cost them to rent. I’m also a divorced mother of two, and I realize the barriers to homeownership that many women in my situation often face. That’s why I’ve made it my personal mission to help these women, working with them and helping them achieve homeownership so they can move on to the next chapter of their lives. I live in the beautiful community of Dripping Springs, Texas with my rescue dog, Clay. I have a daughter who graduated from Texas Tech, and a son attends and plays football for Arizona State University. I’ll walk you through the process, and make sure that all of your questions are answered, and address any concerns you may have. Our five-step mortgage process starts by applying online and getting pre-approved within 24 hours. This will require you to provide us some basic financial and personal information. We will take that information and get back to you with a pre-approval letter.
Getting pre-approved determines how much we are willing to lend, allowing you to shop for homes with confidence. Sellers will take your offer more seriously when you have a pre-approval from a lender. With this complete, you can now start your home search.
Finding the right home takes time, there are many things you need to look for and work out with the sellers. Once you find the home you would like to purchase, make and offer, and come to an agreement with the seller, we will submit your loan to our processing team.
This may seem far from simple for people, but Neighborhood Loans has you covered! The mortgage loan processor is the link between your loan officer and underwriter. We collect and verify all the documents necessary to prepare your loan. This is arguably the most important part of the loan process.
After you’re cleared-to-close, we will schedule your closing and fund the loan on the day that is most convenient for you. After the final documents are signed, you will be given the keys to your new home! We look forward to helping you through our home buying process.
