Laura's journey into real estate began when, equipped with a bachelor’s in communications/media from Northeastern Illinois University, she attended a networking event filled with real estate professionals. Intrigued by the field, she seized an opportunity to join the industry. Her passion for the real estate quickly ignited, and within three months, she obtained her Loan Officer License, swiftly transitioning from assistant to a full-fledged Loan Officer. Laura's early achievements are a testament to her dedication and skill, notably securing $14 million in loans and 51 units in her first year, earning her the prestigious Rookie of the Year award in 2023. Driven by a deep commitment to her community, Laura aims to empower the Latino/Hispanic community through homeownership. Fluent in Spanish, she recognizes her unique position to assist her community in building generational wealth. Laura's understands common challenges in the homebuying process, which is evident in her personalized, transparent, and proactive approach. Her clients trust her to deliver first-class service, knowing she prioritizes their best interests. Her goal for 2024 is to help at least 75 families invest in their first or second homes, continually striving to educate and support anyone interested in homeownership.

Our five-step mortgage process starts by applying online and getting pre-approved within 24 hours. This will require you to provide us some basic financial and personal information. We will take that information and get back to you with a pre-approval letter.

Getting pre-approved determines how much we are willing to lend, allowing you to shop for homes with confidence. Sellers will take your offer more seriously when you have a pre-approval from a lender. With this complete, you can now start your home search.

Finding the right home takes time, there are many things you need to look for and work out with the sellers. Once you find the home you would like to purchase, make and offer, and come to an agreement with the seller, we will submit your loan to our processing team.

This may seem far from simple for people, but Neighborhood Loans has you covered! The mortgage loan processor is the link between your loan officer and underwriter. We collect and verify all the documents necessary to prepare your loan. This is arguably the most important part of the loan process.

After you’re cleared-to-close, we will schedule your closing and fund the loan on the day that is most convenient for you. After the final documents are signed, you will be given the keys to your new home! We look forward to helping you through our home buying process.
