James Lopez is a Mortgage Loan Originator with a Realtor’s mindset. In 2019, James got his Real Estate license and joined Keller Williams and joined the PWM Group as Director of Operations and Lead Rental Agent. Using his analytical and operations skills, he quickly excelled in developing cutting edge systems with a focus in automation and elevated client experience. In 2022, after 3 successful years with the PWM Group, James decided to begin the transition from Realtor to Mortgage Loan Originator. It was a natural progression as James has always had a love of math and numbers. That, coupled with a solutions-oriented mindset, made the transition to Mortgage Loan Originator a perfect match. As a former Realtor, James’s ability to bridge the gap between the home purchase and lending process is second to none. James’s philosophy of education first, ensures all his clients have the knowledge and confidence to navigate the real estate market and build wealth through real estate. James prides himself on being detail oriented, a proactive communicator and creating custom out of box solutions that have kept his clients and business partners signing his praises. James currently lives in Bolingbrook and in his free time he loves to barbeque, spend time with his loved ones and go on adventures with his dog, Ralphie. In addition, he’s available to assist clients during Bears games… since he’s a Patriots fan… gasp!

Our five-step mortgage process starts by applying online and getting pre-approved within 24 hours. This will require you to provide us some basic financial and personal information. We will take that information and get back to you with a pre-approval letter.
Getting pre-approved determines how much we are willing to lend, allowing you to shop for homes with confidence. Sellers will take your offer more seriously when you have a pre-approval from a lender. With this complete, you can now start your home search.
Finding the right home takes time, there are many things you need to look for and work out with the sellers. Once you find the home you would like to purchase, make and offer, and come to an agreement with the seller, we will submit your loan to our processing team.
This may seem far from simple for people, but Neighborhood Loans has you covered! The mortgage loan processor is the link between your loan officer and underwriter. We collect and verify all the documents necessary to prepare your loan. This is arguably the most important part of the loan process.
After you’re cleared-to-close, we will schedule your closing and fund the loan on the day that is most convenient for you. After the final documents are signed, you will be given the keys to your new home! We look forward to helping you through our home buying process.
