Working his way up to one of the top Latino Lender in the United States, Alex Varela attributes this accomplishment to training and helping others. Working through other people is the secret to his success. He has a passion for working with newer realtors and helping educate them about the loan process and the ins and outs of a real estate transaction. Alex has been recognized as one of the top 200 lenders in the United States by Mortgage Executive Magazine. Coming from the inner city of Chicago, Illinois from an impoverished neighborhood, Alex has always valued hard work and picking yourself up and dusting yourself off. While putting himself through college at the University of North Texas and graduating with a degree in Entrepreneurship, he took to sales in the mortgage industry relatively quickly. It was a natural fit as it was an opportunity to build his own business. He is a participant in the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, an active member at http://Fellowshipchurch.com, and a supporter of http://Traffick911.com (an organization that prevents and frees youths from sex trafficking). Most people over estimate what they can do in one year, and underestimate what they can do in ten years. In addition, Alex has experience developing land, building homes, investing in real estate, investing in other businesses including a microbrewery and a marketing company that manufactures portable billboards. Alex plans to spend the next 30 years of his life perfecting the mortgage process, creating a powerhouse sales staff in the mortgage industry, and paying forward the opportunity he received when he was 20 years old to enter the mortgage industry.

Our five-step mortgage process starts by applying online and getting pre-approved within 24 hours. This will require you to provide us some basic financial and personal information. We will take that information and get back to you with a pre-approval letter.

Getting pre-approved determines how much we are willing to lend, allowing you to shop for homes with confidence. Sellers will take your offer more seriously when you have a pre-approval from a lender. With this complete, you can now start your home search.

Finding the right home takes time, there are many things you need to look for and work out with the sellers. Once you find the home you would like to purchase, make and offer, and come to an agreement with the seller, we will submit your loan to our processing team.

This may seem far from simple for people, but Neighborhood Loans has you covered! The mortgage loan processor is the link between your loan officer and underwriter. We collect and verify all the documents necessary to prepare your loan. This is arguably the most important part of the loan process.

After you’re cleared-to-close, we will schedule your closing and fund the loan on the day that is most convenient for you. After the final documents are signed, you will be given the keys to your new home! We look forward to helping you through our home buying process.
